Tendring South LDG are holding a series of activities throughout the summer holidays for children of all ages - cooking, karate, golf, coach trips and much more - and there are activities at The Princes Theatre aswell - for more information and to book, call into the Coastal Academy Community Centre, or call 01255 420707
SALSA
Every Wednesday night, come along to the Liqour Lounge, 3 Marine Parade East, Clacton and take part in Salsa dancing! There are beginner lessons, followed by the lessons in the next level, and finally you can take to the floor and show off your new skills at the Salsa Party - tickets are available from The Liqour Lounge and Hoop Haircutters in Clacton at £6pp - more information at salsa-licious@hotmail.co.uk - some of the proceeds from each evening will be going to the Dream 100 Kids Trust

Zuctini The Magician (a semi-finalist in Polands got Talent) is performing his magical trick show live on Clacton Pier throughout the summer period - the shows are daily at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm and are free of charge

ECO DIY

FLOWER FESTIVAL

St Mary the Virgin Church, Gt Bentley hold their flower festival and art exhibition on Sat 11 Sep and Sun 12 Sep from 10am on the Saturday, and 11am on the Sunday - refreshments, lunches, gift stalls, tombola, and much more - plus there are car parking and disabled facilities - all proceeds to church funds

CHARITY BIKE RIDE

Cyclists from all over Tendring are putting their hearts and muscles into pedal power ready for the Colne 25 Bike Ride which will be raising funds for the British Heart Foundation, Essex Air Ambulance and Lions charities....its organised by the Brightlingsea Branch of the Lions Club of Clacton and takes place on Sun 12 Sep starting from Colne High School, Brightlingsea. Cyclists of all ages are welcome to take part and first registration is at 10-30am for the 40 mile ride, 11-15am for the 25 mile ride, and 11-45am for the young families 5 miles ride around Brightlingsea. MOTORCYCLE RUN

Parkeston Railway Motorcycle Club present a motorcycle run in aid of Help for Heroes on Sun 26 Sep - the run starts at 11am from outside the Merville Barracks, Merville Road Colchester (meet from 9-30am) and the route will be down Mersey Road, Southway, Colchester High St and along East St onto the A137 to Lawford & then on to the bendy B1352 to Harwich - refreshments from the Blue Flag Cafe & there will be live music on arrival at Dovercourt Bay - its £5 per bike but all donations on the day will be gratefully received - more information on 07984 717032
