64-year-old from Tendring named as man Ipswich murder victim

Police were called to reports a man had fallen from the third-floor balcony of a flat in Duke Street after 2.35am on Wednesday 24th June.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and a post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be a severe traumatic head injury.

Pending formal inquest proceedings, police have provisionally named the man as 64-year-old Gary Henderson from Upper Dovercourt.

A 24-year-old woman from Ipswich and a 26-year-old man from the Harwich area were arrested on suspicion of murder.

The male has since been released under investigation and the female has been released on police bail until 22nd July.

Efforts are continuing to establish the facts of what took place before his death and police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
