The family of a man who died in Maldon say he had a 'lovely, beautiful soul - inside and out'.
Daryl Bunn died after Police say he and another man, who survived, were assaulted on the High Street outside the Iceland store at around 8.50pm on Saturday 29th June.
Mr Bunn’s family, who were beside him when he sadly passed away, said:
"Daryl, our much loved son, brother, uncle and fiancé, who was taken too soon.
“Everyone who knew him would say what a lovely, beautiful soul he had inside and out, with a heart of gold and he will be truly missed.
“We are totally heart broken by the news and ask that everyone respects our privacy at this time.”
Two men, aged 22 and 23, from Southminster, arrested on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm have been released on bail.
A third man arrested – a 23-year-old man from Maldon - has been released without charge.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place today (Thursday 4th July).
Senior Investigating Officer DCI Lee Morton from Essex Police said:
“This is a tragic incident that has resulted in a young man losing his life, we continue to support Mr Bunn’s family during this difficult time and our thoughts with them.
"We would like to reassure members of Maldon’s community that at this time we do not believe there are any outstanding parties linked with our investigation.”
