Five injured in Great Horkesley crash

Five people have been hurt - three seriously - after a crash in Great Horkesley.

A Ford Fiesta and an Audi A4 were in collision on London Road just before 9.25pm on Wednesday 15th January.

An eighteen year old man from Colchester who was driving the Fiesta is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after suffering a head injury.

Two teenage boys who were passengers in the Fiesta remain in hospital with serious multiple injuries - another teenage boy is recovering from minor injuries at home.

The Audi driver, a 23-year-old local man, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

He remains in custody for questioning.

A passenger in the Audi, a 23-year-old woman from Sudbury, was taken to hospital with arm injuries and is now recovering at home.
